Terms and Conditions: Aqua Scuba School Liverpool

By booking a course or hiring equipment with Aqua Scuba School Liverpool, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Course Completion & Time Limits

We want you to succeed, but for logistical and certification reasons, courses must be completed within a set timeframe.

  • Documentation: All documentation is to be completed prior to starting the eLearning.

  • Course Validity: Once a course is purchased, all pool, classroom, and open water components must be completed within 12 months of the date of purchase.

  • Extensions: If you cannot complete your course within 12 months due to exceptional circumstances, please contact us at least 30 days before the expiry date. Extensions may be granted at our discretion and may incur an administrative fee.

  • PADI Materials: Digital learning codes (eLearning) are non-refundable once activated.

2. Equipment Hire & Damage Policy

When hiring equipment from Aqua Scuba School Liverpool, you accept full responsibility for the care of that equipment.

  • Inspection: Please inspect all equipment upon receipt. By signing the hire agreement, you acknowledge the equipment is in good working order.

  • Damage/Loss: You are responsible for all equipment hired. If equipment is returned damaged (beyond normal wear and tear), lost, or stolen, you agree to pay:

    • The full repair costs, or

    • The full replacement cost (at current market value) if the item is irreparable or unreturned.

  • Security: You may be required to leave a valid credit/debit card or a deposit as security against the hire equipment.

3. Health & Safety (PADI Requirements)

  • Medical Declaration: All students must complete the mandatory PADI Medical Statement. If you answer "Yes" to any medical conditions, you must obtain a physician's approval (signed medical form) before entering the water. We cannot offer refunds if you are unable to obtain medical clearance.

  • Conduct: We reserve the right to remove any student from a course if their behavior puts themselves, other students, or instructors at risk, or if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

4. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

5. Payment & Booking Policy

Booking & Payment Terms:

  • Securing Your Spot: All course dates are held on a provisional basis until full payment (or a non-refundable deposit, if applicable) is received. Your place on a course is not guaranteed until payment is processed.

  • Payment Methods: We accept cash, bank transfer or PayPal.

  • Confirmation: Once payment is processed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email. Please check this for details on course start times, required kit, and pre-study instructions.

6. Holiday & Travel Planning Disclaimer

If you are training with us in preparation for a holiday or a specific upcoming dive trip, we strongly recommend that you plan to complete your course with plenty of time to spare.

  • Completion Responsibility: It is the student's responsibility to manage their own progression. We cannot be held responsible for missed diving, missed holiday activities, or travel costs if your course is not completed in time—whether this is due to the student’s learning speed, weather-related delays, or unforeseen scheduling changes.

  • Organised Trips: It is the individual's responsibilty to ensure they have adequate insurance to cover all aspects when booking their trip, including cancellations. Aqua Scuba School Liverpool will not be held responsible.
